When I’m in my twilight years I imagine I’ll be pottering around my garden, enjoying television game shows, and going to bed early. But after watching Australia’s Dorothy De Low at the World Veterans Table Tennis Championships, I think perhaps I should aim higher.

She’ll be turning 100 this October, but that hasn’t stopped Dorothy mixing it with the world’s best at the competition in China.

She’s been bundled out of the singles competition, but she’ll compete in the doubles final on Saturday. Her partner for that game is a sprightly 96-year-old!

You might assume Dorothy has been training for this her entire life, but she actually only took the game up for fun at the age of 50. And just look at her now!
