It appears that Borders bookstores across America are closing due to the decrease in popularity of hard copies in Generation Y.
So what went wrong? This news video offers some insight to the failing company.
I was in a Barnes and Noble the other day looking for a gift for a friend and as soon as I opened the door there was a sales rep for the Amazon Kindle and similar eBook readers.
My question is, if eBook readers are killing the normal bookstore experience, then why would a bookstore even consider having one of those salesman enter their store? Sure, the rep probably paid the store a ton of money to even allow a booth for eBooks, but it seems like company suicide to me.
