Christmas is now over, and the new year approaches rapidly. We’re now almost at the end of 2008 and the beginning of 2009. What’s needed at this moment is clearly a comical review of the year courtesy of JibJab.
This review shows that 2008 was actually a terrible year for so many reasons: the economic meltdown, hurricanes, Afghanistan and Iraq, and celebrity scandals.
But one thing stands out for me when I think of 2008 – the election of Barack Obama to the White house. Which is exactly why Obama was recently voted Time magazine’s Person Of The Year.
Getting rid of George W. Bush is my highlight of 2008, made all the better by the fact that America voted in the first black President of the United States in his place. It seriously makes all the terrible happenings worthwhile.
