MTV has proved itself as a big supporter of Web video over the last year, with various shows being made available online, and even some original shows being made exclusively for the Internet.
It has also tried to recognise the fact that users who generate content on sites such as YouTube and MySpace deserve some recognition, and they are about to make that happen.
The MTV Movie Awards, scheduled for June 1st are a celebration of the best movies, and actors from the past twelve months, and for the first time, UGC will get a look in.
Swede A Movie & Win!
Following on from the Be Kind Rewind competition in February, which saw people sweding popular movies, MTV now wants you to do the same, and the prize for winning is a coveted MTV Movie award!
All you need to do is make a three minute or less spoof of your favourite movie, and upload it to Break, Buzznet, Daily Motion, Funny Or Die, Heavy, MySpace or Photobucket by May 11th.
Viewer Vote
Viewers will then vote for their favourites, and seven finalists will be chosen to attend the awards ceremony, and possibly win in front of hundreds of celebrities.
