2011 Mount Etna Eruption (Video) | Active Volcano Spews Lava In Italy

Mount Etna is known as one of the world’s most active volcanoes. Almost every year, the Etna seems to erupt- luckily this time no one was injured.

You can see the eruption video above, as well as some Italian jokes in the narration.

Perhaps what stands out the most about this video is the news reporter’s humor. Not that I’m against stereotypical jokes, but passing it off as almost fact is something to be mindful of.

During the beginning and the end, there are some Onion-like comments stated. My favorite has to be the last line, “[Etna] hasn’t erupted since 1992, there are probably few locals who could match that when it comes to keeping a lid on things.”
