‘2012’ Movie Review Video | Does Roland Emmerich’s Disaster Movie Score Or Suck?

25 sec read

2012 is the latest movie from German director Roland Emmerich, best known for destroying the White House in Independence Day and Manhattan in The Day After Tomorrow.

It’s a disaster movie and no mistake, with more destruction on screen than you can shake a stick at.

2012 is out today, with the Friday the 13th date being chosen on purpose. It means the first reviews have started trickling in, and this video shows the best one I’ve seen so far.

In essence, 2012 is not going to be for everyone. If you value dialog and characterization over visuals, serious drama over light-hearted fun, then you should avoid this movie like the plague. The rest of us can go and enjoy 158 minutes of spectacle.
