According to the trailer, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson gives “the most critically acclaimed performance of his career” in his new film Things Fall Apart. But considering the rapper’s filmography, that’s no real recommendation.
This movie may be the most clichéd I’ve ever seen, and 50 Cent’s wooden performance does little to endear it. He plays a college football star who must keep a serious illness secret from his teammates to achieve his dreams of glory.
This might be the best thing 50 Cent’s ever done, but I wonder why Ray Liotta and Mario van Peebles attached their name to this piece of melodrama. Things Fall Apart? Too right they do!
