Today is September 11, 2010, the ninth anniversary of what has become known as 9/11. It was on this day nine years ago, in 2001, that two hijacked planes were flown into the World Trade Center in New York.
Almost 3,000 people died on that day as a direct result of the terrorist plot. But it appears many more have died since.
According to this new report on Russia Today, up to 900 of those people who arrived on the scene in New York to help have died since, with many almost certainly having succumbed to health issues directly related to what they experienced on 9/11.
If true then this means the 9/11 death toll continues to climb every year, so we have more people to mourn as each September 11 passes by.
This is truly shocking and really brings it home how disgusting this plot to kill as many people as possible was. Unfortunately, it seems to have succeeded rather well… whoever you think is responsible.
