Adam Lambert is surely a dead cert to win American Idol this year. He looks and sounds just that little bit better than everyone else in the competition week after week. And his performance for Rat Pack week was no exception.
Lambert decided to sing Feeling Good, which may once have been a Rat Pack track but not the way he sang it. He took the Muse arrangement and did it justice – not an easy feat by any means. I just wish Muse had been credited during the show!
From the lighting, to the costume, to the entrance, everything about this performance shouts “winner” for me. And as it’s a singing contest at the end of the day, it’s fitting that the man can also sing rather well.
The judges all seem to love Adam Lambert and I would be very surprised if he didn’t win American Idol this time round. And I think he’d be a fitting winner, certainly more so than any of the rest of the Top 5.
