11 long years ago a game titled American McGee’s Alice was released on PC and Mac. Some people loved it, other hated it, but regardless of what people thought, a sequel has been made.
It’s simply titled Alice: Madness Returns, and it’s out today (June 14) on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in North America, on the 16th in Europe.
Alice: Madness Returns is a direct sequel, with the action taking place 10 years later. Alice is no better off in this game than the last, with repressed memories surfacing and effectively sending her insane.
She enters Wonderland but finds she has to save its residents from an evil force that is taking over. In the process she has to uncover the truth behind her history in order to regain a positive mental state.
The trailer has me intrigued but I think I’ll be reading a few reviews before deciding whether to buy Alice: Madness Returns or not.
