Wow. If you think your general knowledge is bad then take a look at this video. It shows American teenagers being asked questions they should all know the answers to. Most of them don’t.
This is a scary indictment on the standard of education in the U.S. Not that it’s necessarily the fault of the curriculum or teachers, but a lot of kids just aren’t interested in learning anything these days.
Without bragging I could answer all of the questions without any trouble. I’m older than these kids, obviously, and have an insatiable thirst for knowledge to boot. But still.
And before I receive any accusations of being anti-American, I’m 100% sure that were similar questions to be asked in many other questions the results would be the same. Because we try to educate people at an age when it’s the last thing they want to do.
