Snakes may not be your ideal dinner guests, but it’s fascinating to watch them eat. Their jaws can literally dislocate to engulf something much larger than they are.
Watching that massive lump of food go down is awesome enough, but this egg-eating snake has a little extra charm.
Apparently he has a protrusion on his spine which helps him slice the egg’s shell open. Then he drains all that delicious, nutritious yolk before spitting the shell out in one neat package.
A couple of times I thought this poor little guy was going to choke on his breakfast, but he knows exactly what’s doing. There’s no mess, no waste, and it’s just hypnotizing to watch.
