You’re probably well aware elephants use their trunks in a range of different ways. For drinking, for eating, and for washing, to name just three.
But did you know elephants can also use their trunks to play piano? They can, and they do. Or at least the one in this video does.
This elephant gets involved in a blues duet, providing the animalistic melody around which his trainer performs.
It’s stated that this elephant started playing the piano completely unaided and unprompted, and it looks as though he gets a lot of enjoyment from it.
If it had been trained to perform for the enjoyment of others that would be bad. But it looks as though this is a natural instinct. Which is awesome.
