I remember being impressed with the simple bird shadow back in Boy Scouts. These animal shadows, on the other hand, are not only exotic and extremely hard to do, but they make a great story too.
Believe it or not, these are all hand shadows.
This video may come from Japan, but the talent in it is universal. Telling stories with hand shadows is an ancient form of art and seeing perfection like this is a result of years of practice. Some animals, like the lion, had me completely dazzled.
Even the simple bunny hand shadow can be seen elaborated at the 0:54 mark. If only the kids back in 4H could see this.
