Oculus has unveiled the latest version of the Oculus Rift. This is the consumer model which the company aims to use to bring virtual reality across to the mainstream.
Can the Facebook-owned Oculus really achieve this lofty goal?
As well as the new Rift, Oculus also showed off the Oculus Touch, an oddly shaped controller which you hold in each hand in order to control the game you’re playing.
However, people who don’t want to use the Touch can use the standard Xbox One controller instead, which makes sense. It still doesn’t guarantee the Oculus Rift will take off though.
This all looks amazing and lots of fun, but I still can’t see the average person wearing such an unwieldy contraption on their heads.
