If you haven’t been watching any of the action from the London 2012 Paralympics then you’ve been missing out, and no mistake. This is real athletic achievement.

This video shows British table tennis star David Wetherill pull off an amazing shot during his game against German Thomasz Kusiak. Although he ultimately lost the game, Wetherill is rightly being applauded for his superhuman efforts.

Wetherill needs a walking stick for support, and yet pulled off a ping pong shot any able-bodied player would be proud of.

The Paralympics has always struggled to compete with the Olympics in terms of interest, but London 2012 looks to have changed that trend. And with footage such as this it’s easy to see why.
