This is the first advert for the Amazon Kindle Fire, the online retailer’s first tablet device, positioned as the top-level Kindle. It adds many features to the basic yet bestselling eBook reader.
We’ve already seen Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos unveiling the new Kindle Fire tablet, and now we have the first TV commercial for the new device. I’m impressed, on all counts.
The Kindle Fire is an Android-based tablet with a 7-inch touchscreen. Amazon has customized the UI beyond all recognition, and as well as the Web you gain access to Amazon’s content and cloud storage services.
The biggest plus the Amazon Kindle Fire has is the price. At $199 it is less than half the price of the base-model Apple iPad, but has the build quality and functionality of a tablet worth much, much more.
