Amazon Prime Air Demonstration Video | Online Retailer Developing Delivery Drones

24 sec read

Amazon Prime Air is the name of the online retailer’s new initiative for delivering products to people’s houses.

The basic idea means people will be able to get products delivered by octocopter within 30 minutes, as long as they live 10-miles or less from an Amazon warehouse.

Honestly, don’t hold your breath waiting for this to become a reality. While it may be a feasible means of delivering goods in a few years time, the there are currently more questions than answers.

This is only good for urban areas, but people living in apartment buildings will surely be excluded. What happens if the drone fails and lands on someone’s head? Or gets shot down by pranksters?
