The American comedian Gallagher has suffered a major heart attack and is in a medically-induced coma while doctors figure out what to do to help him recover.
I’ll be honest and admit I hadn’t ever heard of Gallagher until this week when he was suddenly all over the news over a major health scare. He may have been big in the U.S. but he never reached the U.K.
Continuing on with the honesty, I can’t say I have found him particularly funny in any of the clips I have watched on YouTube. But then this was a different era, and comedy has changed a lot since then.
He reminds me of Billy Connolly in lots of ways, one of them being their lack of ability to make me laugh. Still I wish Connolly no ill and Gallagher a speedy recovery.
