We now know all twelve of the final contestants in this year’s X Factor 4 competition. After getting through a harsh set of auditions and boot camps, the chosen twelve are now preparing for the live shows to begin.
In the build up and early part of the live finals, I wanted to have a look at each contestant in turn, and find out a bit of background on them in the process.
This first contestant is Andy Williams, a 22 year old from Newport, in South Wales. He runs an asbestos clearing company with his brother and lives at home with his parents.
Andy is unique among this year’s contestants in that he had previously auditioned three years ago at just 19 years old, and got turned down. So he went away and practised until he thought he had more of a chance. It obviously worked!
This video shows Andy singing Paulo Nutini’s Last Request, and doing a great job, especially without any backing instruments.
Andy is in Dannii Minogue‘s 14-24 year old boys category, and should do well, as he has a great voice as well as being good looking enough to secure girls votes.
