Ellen Page, an actress who first found fame with the independent film Juno, has confronted Texas senator Ted Cruz over rights for the LGBT community.
The angry confrontation, which can be seen in the video embedded here, took place at the Iowa State Fair.
The main thrust of Page’s complaint against Cruz was his support for “the persecution of gays in the workplace”. Which is happening as a result of Christians refusing to accept gay people.
Page, who is an Oscar-nominated actress, deserves a lot of credit for taking a stance against Cruz and his intolerant views. She only came out as being gay herself last year.
