A grand jury in Missouri has decided not to indict Darren Wilson, the police officer who shot black teenager Michael Brown dead back in August.
This decision led to angry protests breaking out in cities across America. Most were peaceful gatherings, but some turned violent.
The truth is no one really knows what happened on that fateful day, apart from Officer Darren Wilson and Michael Brown himself. Tragically, Brown isn’t alive to give his version of events.
The bigger issue is whether the police in America are fit for purpose, and the biggest issue of all is the lack of gun control in the United States. But that’s another debate for another day.
