Mitt Romney is now officially the GOP candidate for President, and he’ll be running against Barack Obama in the forthcoming election. The wives may play a part too, if this video is anything to go by.
This speech is getting praised across the board because it looks to have come from the heart. Some parts do, but other parts have clearly been scripted by someone else.
In the same way that Obama has never run a business, Romney has never been poor, has never had to wonder where his next pay check or meal was coming from. So that’s a huge swathe of society the Republican candidate won’t be able to connect with.
Mitt Romney comes across a little robotic and well, fake. His wife actually looks more comfortable up on stage and in the public eye. Which begs the question, why isn’t she running instead of him?
