The Apple iPhone is a hell of a product, popular, useful, and very cool. One of the most popular aspects of owning one has to be the range of apps you can download from the iTunes App Store, some for free, some paid for.
However, some aren’t as well thought-out and conceived as others, as is the case with this Baby Shaker game. After a ton of controversy and outrage was directed at Apple, it pulled the app. And rightly so.
The makers of this app must be retarded, seriously. Who thought that using the iPhone’s motion-sensing capability to shake a virtual baby until it shut up was a good idea? They should be fired.
Having said that, it’s not as if any real babies were harmed in the making of this app, or that the Baby Shaker was likely to make anyone do it for real. So while I think the idea sucked, the level of vitriol aimed Apple’s way was a bit too much.
