The Apple iPad has been out in the U.S. for almost two months now, but is only being released internationally (in 9 countries to begin with) today.
The good news is that with the iPad having been out for a while, there are plenty of reviews on the Web, with this being one of the best I’ve seen so far.
Today (May 28) sees the iPad available to buy in Canada, the U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, and Switzerland. You can either walk in to an Apple Store and buy one immediately, or order one from the Apple website.
I know a couple people buying an iPad straight away, but I know more who are determined to wait until the 2nd generation device is unveiled, probably at this time next year.
It all depends whether you can afford to spend $499 (or the local equivalent) on a device that is unlikely to change your life in any big way, especially if you already own a netbook or notebook.
