After teasing it last year, Apple has finally launched the Apple Watch. Apple’s first smartwatch will be available in nine countries from April 24, with multiple models and price points.
Apple Watch isn’t a standalone smartwatch. It needs to be paired with a recent iPhone to work. Which sucks, and also makes it an expensive prospect.
Prices start at $349 but go right up to $17,000. You haven’t misread that, Apple believes some iDiots will pay $17k for an 18-carat gold version of this non-essential item.
The sad thing is that Apple will sell millions of its new Watch, even though it probably doesn’t deserve to sell more than about 10.
