The Asiana Airlines flight that crash-landed in San Francisco and claimed the lives of three people is obviously no laughing matter. But the names read out as being the pilots on KTVU News in Oakland, California is rather amusing.
The names obviously play on the way Chinese names are formed, and it was apparently the fault of a summer intern at the NTSB (National Transport Safety Board) that was to blame for the mistake.
The organizations involved have issued profuse apologies for fear they have offended anyone, but I think the vast majority of people will see the funny side.
A Chinese person is about as likely to be offended by this as I (an English person) would be by the idea of us all drinking tea, eating cucumber sandwiches, and wearing bowler hats.
