Circuit City Goes Bust | Stores Close as Firm Unable to Find Buyer

23 sec read

After failing to find a buyer to keep its stores going, bankrupt Circuit City will now be shutting down all of its 567 U.S. stores. This comes as a hard blow to some, as Circuit City has been in business for about sixty years.

Circuit City used to be the number one store in the United States for getting electronics, but it has been losing business to Wal-Mart (go figure), Best Buy and other stores.

This comes as another blow to the U.S. employment statistics as well. Circuit City employs (employed) more than 30,000 people.

It is scary to think of what other big companies could be next.
