The original Anchorman was released in 2004 and fared mildly well at the box office. But it lived on and grew in popularity thanks to DVD, Blu-ray and online streaming. So much so it’s become a cult hit.
A sequel has been a long time coming, with DreamWorks handing the property over to Paramount for one finally to emerge. This video shows Ron Burgundy (AKA Will Ferrell) announcing Anchorman 2 on Conan O’Brien.
If you haven’t yet seen Anchorman now is the time to finally do so. Just in time for the sequel to arrive. If you don’t find yourself quoting lines from it after just one watch then I’ll be amazed.
