When all those hippies sang about buying the world a Coke on a hilltop in the seventies, they could never have dreamed it’d actually be possible. But thanks to today’s new technology, Coca-Cola are making good on the promise they made decades ago.
This video shows Coke extending the concept of that naff but iconic ad with vending machines stationed around the world. Generous souls simply indicate where they’d like their Coke to go and hey presto, one is dispensed to an unsuspecting local.
Video and messaging features allow the recipient to connect with their Coke donors in this lovely piece of marketing. At the end of the day it’s about soulless ideas like brand awareness and sales, but Coke seems to be achieving those objectives with more heart than most these days!
