I never had Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg down as a couple of hillbillies, but this video proves the millionaire rappers had it in them all the time. You can’t fight your heritage.
OK, so this may not actually be real, but it should be. Someone has taken footage of Dre and Snoop performing The Next Episode live and transformed it into a bluegrass number. And it works.
This is further proof, if proof was needed, that different genres and styles of music can mix without any trouble whatsoever. Whether it be classical and dance or rock and rap, these mash-ups can be brilliant.
I hope Dre takes this clip in good nature, but I somehow doubt he will.
