GIFs have become massive on the Web thanks to the likes of Reddit and Tumblr. The only problem with the format is its inability to produce sound, leaving some GIFs feeling a little muted. Literally.
This video attempts to right that wrong, with music and/or sound effects added to various well-known GIFs. Whoever made the video has a good eye (or ear) for the aural requirements of each one.
My favorites are the small dogs with the rodeo music, the rabbit running around in circles to Queen, the cat rising up to music from 2001: A Space Odyssey, and the guy attempting to jump in the river to Chariots Of Fire.
I say we invent a new image format which offers the same advantages of GIF but adds an audio track. Or is that like suggesting we should just find the cure for a random disease?
