I have seen Google Maps and Google Street View used in some intriguing ways, but never before has it been turned into a music video.
This is the music video for Chemin Vert by an electronic musician known as A Ghost Train. It comprises a compilation of panoramic frames from Google Street View.
What we get is a whistlestop tour around the world, with all five continents and all four seasons making an appearance. And it all combines to make for a intoxicating visual trip.
This is actually a really simple idea and was probably made for almost no money. And yet it’s much more entertaining to watch than any music video from a well-known artist. It just shows creativity beats a big budget every time.
