Naomi Wolf’s book, The End of America, discusses (among other things) ten steps dictators often take to create their dictatorship.
She argues that each of these ten steps is being taken in America since September 11th.
With the rest of the world wondering what is going on with the US and whether or not it’s going to hit a recession, it’s not exactly surprising to see a book like this not only hit the shelves but quickly rise to the New York’s best seller list.
Call me pessimistic, though, because I don’t think it will have the intended effect with young Americans.
