A FA-18 jet fighter breaking the sound barrier right in front of me? Yes please. I don’t think I’d quite have the orgasmic reaction some people audibly did, but still.
I’m not one of those people who gets excited over vehicles or military equipment easily or often. It’s a supercar you can drive fast. Wow. It’s a tank used to kill people. Yay.
However, jet aircraft do have a certain fascination. Perhaps because the technology involved is so advanced to be inconceivable to most people. Or perhaps it’s because us mere mortals could never possibly fly one.
Whatever the truth seeing one up close is awesome. And seeing one break the sound barrier as it flies daringly close to you must be amazing. Thankfully for those of us not there in person someone caught the moment on video for posterity.
