People have known for a long time that strategy games like chess and logic and number puzzles are very good for the brain.
However, could it be possible that playing chess could help prevent Alzheimer’s?
To me, it makes complete sense. I’m an advocate for using anything from sudoku to Clue to Chess to help exercise your brain. It’s good for you. It keeps you thinking different ways.
I’m glad people are finally starting to make connections elsewhere with the benefits of these activities. If this is something that can be proven to prevent Alzheimer’s, then I think there is going to be a huge rush at game shops to by chess sets.
