Barack Obama may only be just over halfway through his first term as President, but the campaign to see him re-elected has already begun in earnest. Yes, it’s a strange element of politics these days that when someone should be running the country they get sidetracked fighting to stay in power. But that’s the way it is.
This video, titled It Begins With Us, is how Obama and his campaign team chose to kick off his re-election bid for 2012. As discussed on WebTVWire, this shows just how much politics has changed over the years, with the Web now the medium of choice to generate grassroots support and shake up voters.
While I’d tend to veer towards the Democrats (if I was a U.S. citizen, of course) I have to say that it doesn’t seem like Obama has done much so far, at least from the point of view of an outsider looking in.
However, if it’s a choice between Obama and Sarah Palin, I know which side I’m on. Rather a useless President who doesn’t do much than a terrible one who does everything badly. Surely.
