Barack Obama’s historic speech at the Democratic National Convention has been made available in its entirety on YouTube. And it’s definitely worth watching.
I may be British but that doesn’t stop me being inspired by seeing the first black person to make it this far in the presidential elections accepting the nomination and setting out his vision of the future.
This speech has it all: vision, courage, humour, and a feeling that you’re watching history in the making. This is how it must have felt to watch John F. Kennedy speaking.
I really hope Obama wins the race for the White House come November, but being a UK citizen, there isn’t anything I can do to help that happen. Except for cross my fingers that America does the right thing.
