Giving the Olympic Games to China was always going to prove a controversial decision. People against the decision have now started to make their feelings known.
This video shows footage of the start of the Olympic torch relay which is going to see the torch travel alight from London all the way to Beijing.
At one point a protester manages to get close enough, despite a heavy police and security presence, to grab the torch from TV presenter Konnie Huq.
There’s debate over whether that is sticking to peaceful protest, or is actually ramping it up to a form of violence.
I’m no fan of Chinese politics, and the way the country’s government is treating Tibet and its citizens is heinous without a doubt.
I can see these kinds of protests ruining the build up and launch of the games, and maybe even the 2008 Olympics itself.
