Fans of cel-shaded, shooter-based, open-world, free-roaming RPGs (aren’t we all?) will be ecstatic to hear that a Borderlands sequel has been confirmed and will be released in 2012.
Borderlands 2 FTW? Possibly.
The original game offered something different from the norm. Visually stunning, with cel-shaded graphics not usually associated with the shooter genre, and a storyline and gameplay that entertained, Borderlands was well-received by gamers and critics alike.
Borderlands 2 looks like continuing that trend, with this teaser trailer suggesting more of the same, just bigger and better. Which is all most gamers want from their sequels these days.
2K Games and Gearbox Software haven’t pinpointed an exact date for release yet, but Borderlands 2 will be launched in 2012… I cannot wait.
