Brad Pitt is obviously best known as an A-list Hollywood actor. He’s starring in Quentin Tarantino’s new flick Inglourious Basterds and has a host of other films to his name. He’s also married to Angelina Jolie and is a true family man.
However, a less well-known fact is his devotion of social care and politics, particularly New Orleans. Since Hurricane Katrina hit the city in 2005, Pitt has been trying to help the area get back on its feet. Including its thousands of displaced citizens.
This has lead some residents to call for Pitt to run for mayor of the city. An idea Pitt doesn’t dismiss out of hand in this interview with Anne Curry. In fact, he spells out the policies he’d run with to try and get elected.
Pitt would run on a “gay marriage, no religion, legalization and taxation of marijuana.” And you know what? I’d vote for him on that ticket. Then again, I’m a liberal who doesn’t agree with organized religion, which would put me in the minority in New Orleans.
