The Super Bowl always has a spectacular halftime show although some years are clearly better than others. Super Bowl 2009 had Bruce Springsteen, The Boss, providing the entertainment with a medley of hits, and he didn’t disappoint.

Springsteen isn’t getting any younger, celebrating his 60th birthday later this year, but he defied his advancing years to play the gig of his life, ably backed up by the E Street Band.
Springsteen belted out a string of hits, including Born To Run and Blinded By The Light. But as well as the music, there were fireworks galore. surely all adding up to make this the best Super Bowl halftime show ever staged.
And best of all there were no “wardrobe malfunctions” like the one experienced by Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake in 2004. I dread to think what part of Springsteen’s anatomy would have been exposed.
