Snapchat is a photo-sharing app (yes, another one) which only differs from the competition because it deletes each picture after 10 seconds. Pointless. Stupid. Bizarre.
And yet despite its ridiculousness it’s insanely popular with youngsters. To the point that Facebook recently offered to acquire the company for $3 billion. And Snapchat turned them down!
Apparently $3 billion isn’t enough to persuade the 23-year-old CEO and co-founder of Snapchat to walk away and live on an island basking in the sun for the rest of his days. So he’s holding out for more moolah.
Is it me or is it looking increasingly as though the dotcom bubble of the turn of the century is back with a vengeance? We all know how that turned out…
