Charles Lewis Jr., better known as “Mask” by Ultimate Fighting Championship fans, was killed today in what appears to be a road race with an intoxicated driver involved.

Mask’s multi-million dollar company TapouT is known for sponsoring UFC fighters and is a popular brand among mixed martial arts fans. An interview and brief history of the TapouT company can be seen above.

Years ago when mixed martial arts was still underground, Mask, Punkass, and Skyskrape sold t-shirts out the back of their car during the (sometimes) illegal fights. Now over a decade later, the group has transformed into an empire which includes a magazine, clothing line, and TV show.

In regards to Mask’s accident, many sources are saying that the police spotted Mask’s Red Ferrari and a white Porche speeding along a street around 1AM this morning. Nothing has been confirmed, but it is known that the Ferrari crashed into a light pole and split in half causing the fatality.
