The Philadelphia Phillies recently honored former second baseman Chase Utley with a retirement ceremony. But one other person in attendance saw their dreams come true.

In an episode of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Mac, played by Rob McElhenney, penned a letter to Chase Utley expressing his desire to play catch with him.

And in a classy move, the Phillies made it happen, with Utley and McElhenney pitching and catching to each other before the ceremony commenced.

This probably made McElhenney’s day, and he certainly seemed to enjoy himself. And as a fan of IASIP, this made me smile too.
