I’m hot and cold when it comes to these new hip hop choreographers, Napoleon and Tabitha D’umo, but this number is really good! I think it has to do with the dancers, as I don’t really think this is very hip-hoppish, but it tells a story and they act the scene out so well, I believe it.
I’m sad to not see any Wade Robson this year, and very little Shane Sparks. They are in my tops! And Mia Michaels is a little weirder than usual this year. I’m still waiting to see a really good one from her.
But so far, the newbie hip-hoppers are leading the way with this number and the number they created for Katee and Joshua. Who knew that hip hop could be so graceful, tell a story and make someone’s eyes tear up. Kudos.
