There we were all set for an uneventful Grammy Awards 2009 when Chris Brown goes and gets himself arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Rihanna. Talk about a Grammy scandal!
This video actually shows the couple earlier in the day, when clearly there wasn’t a problem. Wha happened between this video being shot and the alleged argument that lead to Brown being arrested right before he was due to attend and perform at the Grammy Awards?
I probably wouldn’t give two hoots about this story if it wasn’t for the fact that Rihanna is the alleged victim. Chris Brown is crap but Rihanna is not only beautiful but very talented. If she really is the victim here, as assumed, then this is huge news.
Brown has already been released, presumably on bail. But that still means he has to face the charges at some point in the future. Could Chris Brown go to jail for these alleged offences? And would Rihanna be the one to put him there?
What’s clear is that this story is only just beginning, with a lot more to be revealed in time. And like any celebrity train wreck, us rubberneckers will enjoy watching the drama.
