This video shows a cat performing tricks you would normally associate with dogs. Sitting, standing, shaking hands, rolling over, and even staying still, all are in this clever cat’s repertoire.
We’ve actually seen this before, with a video showing a different cat doing tricks in order to get treats appearing on the site in 2007. So this isn’t a new phenomenon. It’s also not something you see every day though.
Perhaps that’s because few of us ever try to tame out pet cats. Unlike dog owners, who need to bring their pets under control a little, cat owners let their feline friends get on with life.
I’m very tempted to try and teach my cat just one trick after watching this. He does love his little treats, so much so that I suspect he would roll over and play dead if it meant he could get them on demand.
