Coldplay and John Farnham at Sound Relief Video | Stars Unite for Australian Bushfires and Floods Benefit Concert

The Australian music community united over the weekend for Sound Relief, two massive benefit concerts to raise funds for victims of the recent Victorian bushfires and Queensland floods.

One of the greatest highlights was seeing Australian music legend John Farnham join Coldplay for his unofficial Australian anthem, “You’re The Voice.”

John Farnham came out of retirement to surprise the clearly appreciative crowd with this unexpected pairing. And Coldplay clearly reveled in the chance to perform with one of Australia’s living treasure.

Coldplay may be regarded as the biggest band in the world right now, but it was Farnsy who had the audience in the palm of his hand. I’ve never seen a concert sing-along with quite as much passion as this.
