The Finns aren’t the only bunch of singing whiners. Meet the Complaints Choir of Tokyo.
Clearly inspired by the Complaints Choir of Helsinki, this Asian equivalent sounds off about the everyday gripes of the Japanese. Of course, in typical Japanese fashion these folks are quite polite about their grievances. Well, except for the death metal loving guy who wants more sleep!
It’s interesting comparing the different cultural concerns between the groups. For example, I’d be thrilled to find shrimp in a present, but it seems the Japanese aren’t too keen on gifts of shellfish!
If I were a member of the choir I think I’d have to write a few new lyrics. The air pollution which forces me to wear a face mask and the dodgy piano accordion backing would definitely make my hit list.
